Food, clothes and sleeping bags will be distributed to refugees in Idomeni and to people staying at the PRAKSIS Shelter for the Homeless in Thessaloniki, Deputy Minister for Macedonia-Thrace Issues Maria Kollia-Tsarouha said on Tuesday, after a meeting with PRAKSIS’ social worker Fotini Kelektsoglou.

“The sensitivity and responsibility of the Greek state towards refugees is proven in practice and the supply of necessities is made with legal and transparent procedures. Our effort to relieve the refugees but also Greek families in need will be continued by every means in our disposal, and for as long as necessary,” the minister said.

“State aid is very important for the refugee issue and we hope it continues,” Kalekstoglou said on her part.
