Ambulance workers' strike suspended
Greek ambulance service (EKAB) workers on Friday suspended a strike they began on December 9, after deciding to give Alternate Health Minister Pavlos Polakis time to implement pledges he made concerning a series of their demands.

According to ambulance workers who met Polakis at the health ministry, the minister promised the payment of overtime and holiday pay still due for the months September-November this year by December 27, as well as to give benefits to cover uniform costs and other individual demands.
