Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise
Equity prices were rising on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 1.63 percent, standing at 585.89 points at 11.00 am and turnover at 23.47 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.56 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was down 0.40 percent.
On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Construction (+2.76 percent), Financials (+2.66 percent) and Banks (+2.31 percent).
The heaviest losses were in Health (-1.78 percent) and in Commerce (-0.56 percent).
Of the stocks traded, 24 were up, 11 were down and 12 were unchanged
