Προσθήκη του gazzetta.gr στην Google Alternate Migration Policy Minister Yiannis Mouzalas and Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic discussed the problem which has risen after some countries closed their borders to refugees and migrants, during a meeting in Athens on Thursday.
The two officials decided that unilateral action by member states of the European Union that creates facts on the ground and contravenes commitments based on international law must be avoided by all means. They said the EU must also avoid arbitrary separations between economic migrants and refugees.
The two ministers also strongly opposed the possibility of erecting walls and fences in Europe, which sustain a climate of racism and xenophobia.
According to a ministry press release, it was decided to cooperate closely and exchange of information between security services.
