Alt.FM Xydakis: Tension between Russian and Turkey must be resolved through diplomacy
"Every Greek citizen's position is to find a way to resolve the issue through diplomacy," stated Alternate Foreign Minister for European Issues Nikos Xydakis on Wednesday referring to the shooting down of a Russian aircraft by Turkey on Tuesday.
Xydakis, speaking to the Standing Parliamentary Committee on European Issues, referred to the NATO announcements that recommended diplomacy and calmness. "So far we did not have any further escalation, only verbal one."
