External borders are protected, says Alt. Citizens Protection Minister Toskas
EU's external borders are guarded, the refugees are identified according to the European rules, stated Alternate Citizens Protection Minister Nikos Toskas upon his arrival on Friday to the EU Interior Ministers meeting in Brussels.
"It is time the democratic principles of liberty and safety to be combined in a balanced way. Historically, this balance has been succeeded and the fear should be faced in the light of these principles" he said.
Asked on the guarding of the external borders he noted "The external borders and particularly those of my country are protected. The refugees that continue to arrive are checked and identified according to the European rules'.
