"The reform in education requires a broad dialogue with all involving parties," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday said in a special meeting of the Parliament plenary for the November 17 anniversary.

The Prime Minister noted that the question is whether we want an education system that serves the whole society and is aimed at strengthening the democratic ideals of freedom, of research and thought, or a market version and an individualistic structure of studies.

Tsipras called the migration flows a "humanitarian tragedy" and stressed that the only way to overcome it is through "solidarity between peoples."

Referring to the recent terrorist attacks in France, the prime minister said that "the political defeat of Europe against terrorists will be the closed borders, the raised fences, the intolerant voices and the accession to the concept of the extreme and racist right."

"We have to isolate racism in Greece and Europe," Tsipras underlined.
