Greek GDP shrank 0.4 pct in Q3
The Greek economy contracted by 0.4 pct in the third quarter of 2015 compared with the same period last year, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Friday.
The statistics service, in its first estimate on the country's Gross Domestic Product said that the GDP shrank 0.4 pct in the July-September period, compared with the corresponding period in 2014, while on a quarterly basis it shrank by 0.5 pct. In the nine-month period from January to September, the GDP grew 0.37 pct on average, after a 0.75 pct increase in the first half. Based on non-seasonally adjusted figures, the Greek GDP fell 0.1 pct in the third quarter compared with the same period last year.
