Turnover in transport sector up in Q2
Turnover in most transport sectors rose in the second quarter of 2015, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Tuesday. The statistics service, in a report, said that land and pipeline transport turnover fell 5.4 pct in the second quarter, compared with the same period in 2014, in sea transport turnover grew 2.5 pct, in air transport turnover grew 4.3 pct while turnover in the logistics sector rose 4.6 pct in the April-June period.
Turnover in travel agencies rose 3.4 pct in the second quarter compared with the same period last year.
The statistics service also announced that turnover in the hotel and restaurant sectors grew 13.4 pct in the second quarter of 2015, compared with the same period last year, while it soared 106.6 pct from the first quarter of 2015 (compared with a 93.1 pct jump in 2014).
Turnover in the media and broadcast sector fell in the second quarter.
