Tsipras: SYRIZA will implement the agreement with the institutions

SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras in his opening address at the press conference at TIF sternly attacked New Democracy (ND) leader Evangelos Meimarakis calling him to apologize for the last 40 years, for the two years of co-governance with PASOK and for his party's stance during SYRIZA's negotiations with the creditors.

Tsipras asked for a clear mandate and set the dilemma of the election which, as he said, is whether SYRIZA or New Democracy will govern.

Tsipras ruled out the possibility of a cooperation with ND saying that a modus vivendi can't be found between two political forces that are like the day and the night. I serve a political plan; some will try to make SYRIZA part of the old. The Greek people will not do them this favour and will give SYRIZA the power to continue what started in January 2015.

The drachma is not a way out from the crisis, noted SYRIZA leader noting that the only way SYRIZA government will follow is the way of the harsh negotiation through which you succeed.

The government's agreement with the institutions must be followed he said adding that, if SYRIZA is government again, will implement the agreement and underlined that this will be applied in parallel with compensation measures with aim to escape as fast as possible from the surveillance vise, with the debt relief and the return to growth with the change of the wrongs of the past through substantial reforms.
