Popular Unity leader: ‘The troika is much worse that the junta’
The troika that make up Greece’s creditors are worse that a military dictatorship because they determine every detail of people’s lives, Popular Unity leader Panagiotis Lafazanis told a Greek private radio station on Friday.
“The troika is much worse than a junta,” he was quoted as telling Alpha radio. “It’s much worse because it determines every last detail of our lives. Even when the pharmacies will open or if stores will open on Sundays are determined by the troika.”
“We have reached a point of such neo-colonization, that the protectorate doesn’t play any role and has no value,” he added.
Commenting on the refugee crisis, Lafazanis said that the EU’s inability to deal with the refugees leaves the gates wide open to incidents of racism.
