Three new programs of the 2014-2020 National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) for small and medium sized entrepreneurs and self-employed are expected to start in September, according to the Economy Ministry.

These programmes will focus on neophyte entrepreneurship, the modernisation and upgrade of the quality of services in tourism sector as well as the support of higher education graduates.

More specifically:

Neophyte entrepreneurship - The programme aims at the setting up of small, sustainable businesses focusing on innovative projects as well as promoting employment by hiring at least one person. Beneficiaries will be unemployed persons over 25 years or self-employed. The subsidized budget is up to 50,000 euro (100 pct support). The total budget of the programme is earmarked at 120 million euros, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with a flexibility clause. The number of beneficiaries is estimated at 2,500 new businesses and 4,500 new jobs.

Tourism - The programme aims at the modernization, quality improvement and enrichment of products and services of existing small tourism enterprises in order to boost their position in domestic and international tourism market. Beneficiaries will be existing small enterprises operating exclusively on tourism. The subsidized budget will amount from 30,000 euros to 300,000 euros. The number of beneficiaries is estimated at 600-700 small tourist enterprises. The total budget of the programme is earmarked at 50 million euros.

 

Support of higher education graduates - The programme aims at supporting higher education graduates, over 25, unemployed or self-employed. The subsidized budget is from 5,000 to 25,000 euros (100 pct support). The total budget of the programe is earmarked at is 50 million euros. The number of beneficiaries is estimated at 2,800 graduates.
