Alternate Min for Migration Policy meets Turkey's Ambassador to Greece
Alternate Minister for Migration Policy Tasia Christodoulopoulou on Tuesday met with Turkey's Ambassador to Greece Kerim Uras to discuss the increased refugee and migration flows in both countries, as well as the efforts made by both sides to deal with them.
More specifically, they talked about the Syrian refugees and the obligations to protect them. They also agreed for the closer cooperation between the two sides in all the disputed issues that will yield results for both countries.
Regarding the transport of refugees and migrants by boat from Lesvos, Ministry of State sources told ANA-MPA that the decision has been made and the transfer has begun. The procedure is underway and the delay is due to bureaucracy, they noted.
