Berlin: Greece must prove that is ready to implement serious reforms
The evaluation of the Greek proposals will be carried out by the institutions, stated German government spokesman Steffen Seibert on Friday adding that only if Athens proves that it is ready to implement serious reforms, the German government will ask from the German Federal parliament authorisation for negotiation.
On his part, German Finance Ministry spokesman Martin Jaeger on the possibility of a Greek debt haircut, reiterated that the German government rejects it because it is not allowed in the eurozone adding that the margins for a debt restructuring is limited.
