Voting in Greece's referendum was continuing without problems on Sunday, with well-informed sources saying that voter turnout was at a similar level to the January elections, when participation stood at 65 percent. This means that the participation is likely to exceed the 40 percent minimum that is needed, in order for the result to be valid under the law.

Most voters were arriving at polling stations having already made up their minds what to vote, while all agreed that, regardless of the result, Greeks must remain united on the following day.

"From tomorrow, we will all be together and be subjected to whatever comes," one voter commented, while others were more pessimistic about Greeks ability to stand united. "Unfortunately, we have never learned to conduct a dialogue," one woman said.

Regardless of the outcome, many agreed that there were difficult days to follow, irrespective of the result. "We are choosing between bad and worse," one voter said.

Most agreed that they want a clear-cut result, whether that was 'Yes' or 'No', so that a clear message would emerge from the ballot box after polling stations close at 19:00.
