Greece is committed to the implementation of the programme, EC spokeswoman Breidthardt says
Moscovici is in Athens to evaluate the implementation of the Greek programme and discuss with Greek authorities the latest developments over the first package of prior actions.
Breidthardt noted that the evaluation of the prior actions is still underway, but it is expected to be concluded soon.
Asked on the disbursement of the 2 billion euro tranche this week, she said that the issue will be discussed at the EuroWorking Group and the Eurogroup.
Regarding the stress tests, she said they were "encouraging".
"It is an important step to the implementation of the three-year programme under the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). The recapitalization is part of Greece's and the creditors' efforts to restore credibility to the Greek banking system so that capital controls are lifted," she added.
