Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday met Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Greek government sources said that the talks focused on the meetings held by the two delegations in New York and the need to boost efforts for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue. The two sides reaffirmed that close cooperation between Greece and Cyprus remained the central foreign policy axis for both countries, especially at this difficult time for the region and the Cyprus issue, the same sources said.
