No issue yet of having to vote for new prior actions, says gov't spokeswoman
“So far, there hasn’t been an issue of voting for more prior actions ... In this framework, we have reasons to believe the agreement and the negotiation are developing smoothly and that we will proceed with the time tables agreed in the summit meeting to the final vote in the Greek parliament and European parliaments,” Gerovasili said, adding that by about August 18, the process should be completed.
Asked whether the government is planning to hold elections if the final agreement is rejected by lawmakers of the Left Platform, the spokeswoman said that “obviously they will reject it – or at least some of them will” adding that “it’s not in the government’s intentions to resort to elections.”
