Former FinMin Varoufakis will not attend vote in parliament for family reasons

Προσθήκη του gazzetta.gr στην Google Former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said on Friday he will not attend the vote in parliament on the proposal submitted by the government to the institutions last night, due to family reasons.
“The fact that I will not be in parliament tonight to vote in person is due to family reasons (I’m preventing different … interpretations),” Varoufakis tweeted earlier.
According to article 70A of the parliament’s regulation, lawmakers may vote by post when they are on a government or parliament mission abroad.
