Convoy of 29 coaches carrying 1,500 migrants heading to Athens from Idomeni, police say
A convoy of 29 coaches carrying a total of 1,500 migrants are currently driving back to Athens from the Idomeni railway station on the borders with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greek police sources told the ANA-MPA on Wednesday.

The coaches started setting off at around 11:00 on Wednesday morning after a police sweep of the area in order to open the railway line once again. The first coaches are expected to arrive in Athens late on Wednesday afternoon and the last will arrive in the capital late at night. The migrants will be taken to the former indoor Olympic stadium (Tae Kwon Do) in Paleo Faliro and the reception facilities at Elliniko.
