Government council on social security system reforms calls for dialogue with society
The government wants to secure a social security system that is viable and ensures its redistributive nature, the government vice-presidency said in a press release after a meeting of the government council for social policy on Wednesday.
The council, which was chaired by Government Vice-President Yiannis Dragasakis and addressed by Labour Minister George Katrougalos, concluded that review of the reform proposals are moving along. To this end, the council considers necessary to hold a wide and meaningful; dialogue with society in order to overcome its pressing needs and address the chronic pathologies, distortions, inefficiencies and injustices.
