British Airways to start direct flights from Heathrow to Kalamata on April 2016
“We are pleased to announce Kalamata as the newest addition to British Airways’ extensive network in Greece. We are very proud that we have a long history of over 90 years of flights between Greece and London, and now we fly to 10 Greek destinations, offering our British customers an excellent choice for top holiday options,” said Freddie Stier, Commercial Manager of British Airways Cyprus and Greece.
Peloponnese Prefect Petros Tatoulis said the addition of Kalamata in British Airways’ route schedule shows the confidence of the English tourist market in the region’s increased potential, which was strengthened after the successful hosting of the ABTA’s (UK’s largest travel association) conference in Pylos last month.
“We feel truly honoured and satisfied for British Airways’ decision to ‘travel’ to Kalamata and the Peloponnese on a regular basis. This is a confidence vote in the touristic product of the region and the policy we follow as an authority,” he said.
