Draft bill on return of stolen archaeological treasures on public consultation
The Culture ministry presented for public consultation on Monday a draft bill that will align Greek legislation with European directives on the return of archaeological objects which they have been illegally removed to the countries of origin.
The consultation will last until November 16, at 14.00 (local time) and Minister Aristidis Baltas is calling on citizens and relevant bodies to participate by tabling “proposals and views that will contribute to the improvement of the proposed amendments,” the ministry said in a statement.
