24-hour union strike to disrupt public transport in Athens on Thursday
Athens will be without metro, suburban railway and trains on Thursday (Nov 12) as workers will participate in the 24-hour strike called by Greece’s two biggest unions, GSEE and ADEDY.

Employees at the tram, urban railway, busses and trolleys will hold work stoppages: The urban railway and tram will stop from the start of the shift until 10.00 (local time) and from 16.00 until the end of the shift, while busses and trolleys will not operate from 05.00 until 09.00 and from 21.00 until the end of the shift.
