Greek seamen's federation says will not extend strike, warns of more labour action
reece’s seamen’s federation (PNO) said on Thursday it will not extend its 48-hour strike beyond Friday morning, but warned of further labour action in the future if their demands are not met by the government.
PNO announced a 48-hour strike on Wednesday, immediately after another 48-hour strike that ended earlier in the week. In its new press release it warned that “the fight is definitely not over” and asked the relevant ministers to “implement what they have committed to do” and “avoid delays”.
It also said it participate in the general strike called by Greece’s biggest employees’ unions, GSEE and ADEDY, on November 12.
