If PPC does not cut off electricity to large consumers denying to pay, it will have to increase prices, GENOP's head says
"Public Power Corporation (DEH) will have to increase electricity tariffs as of next year unless it cuts off the electricity to large consumers denying to pay off their debt," the president of employees' union GENOP-DEH said in an interview with Praktorio 104.9 FM on Thursday.
Unpaid bills have reached 2.5 billion euros, he added.
"This does not concern consumers that cannot pay; this refers to dodgers," he underlined and explained that unless a solution to the problem is found, the company will have to increase its tariffs as of next year. It is a one-way road," Adamidis added.
