The system of licensing foreign investments needs simplification, Deputy FM Mardas says
Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Mardas in an interview with Mega TV on Tuesday stressed the need to simplify the system of licensing foreign investments.

"Our task is to attract foreign investments that will bring money in our country," he said. "However, attracting investments is the easiest part. What is difficult is to simplify the system of licensing foreign investments."

He noted that "this procedure lasts 2-3 years," which is unacceptable, and expressed the government's intention to reduce that period to 3-6 months.

Mardas also estimated that with the adoption of the best foreign practices, the new system could be implemented in a short period of time.
