Alt. FM Xydakis meets British, Slovakian ambassadors to Greece
The refugee and migrant crisis and the future of European integration were discussed on Friday in a meeting of Alternate Minister for European Affairs Nikos Xydakis with the British and Slovakian Ambassadors to Greece, in two separate meetings.
The good relations between Greece and Britain were confirmed in the meeting between Xydakis and British envoy John Kittmer, while talks also centered on the refugee crisis and European integration. Kittmer also informed Xydakis on the discussions held at a European level on the new context of British-EU relations ahead of the planned EU referendum.
Bilateral relations were discussed in Xydakis’ talks with Slovakian Ambassador Peter Michalko, ahead of the assumption of the rotating EU presidency by Slovakia in the second half of 2016. They also talked about the possibilities of cooperation in education and culture.
