The Potami party will stick to an opposition role in the current parliament, party leader Stavros Theodorakis said on Sunday, in an interview published by the Sunday edition of the newspaper "Real News".

"[Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras] has selected a conservative path. He is reproducing the negative things of the past - the party-dominated state, untransparency in decisions - and fights every modernist idea. He is making the mistakes of all previous memorandum prime ministers. He orders horizontal cuts for all and does not want to clash with special groups," Theodorakis said in the interview.

He said Potami will not participate in the government "because with 4 pct we cannot define political decisions.
