PM Tsipras briefly meets Avramopoulos, Asselborn on return from EU summit
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras had a brief meeting with Immigration and Home Affairs European Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn at Elefsina airport on Friday, as he was returning from Brussels and the European Council to discuss the refugee crisis.
Their brief discussion was also attended by Greek Alternate Minister for Migration Yiannis Mouzalas and Alternate Minister for European Affairs Nikos Xydakis, who had accompanied by the prime minister to Brussels.
Avramopoulos, Asselborn and Mouzalas had just returned from the Greek island of Lesvos, where they had visited the first refugee 'hotspot' for the registration of migrants and refugees on the island.
They exchanged information concerning the decisions taken at the summit on the refugee issue and other issues relating to the management of the refugee crisis.
