ForMin Kotzias meets with Norwegian minister on EU issues in New York
Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met in with the Norwegian Minister competent for European Union and European Economic Area issues, Vidar Helgesen, on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.
The two ministers reviewed the course of Greek-Norwegian bilateral relations and agreed to strengthen cooperation to capitalize on programmes within the European Economic Area and to expand synergies in education by utilizing the educational institutions based in Oslo for bilateral meetings and exchanges.
Helgesen also briefed Kotzias on the Donor Conference for Syria that Norway will be hosting soon and discussed strengthening their countries’ cooperation within NATO – with the two countries being on geographical extremes of the Alliance – as well as the issue of funding for migration programmes through the European Economic Area.
