SYRIZA MP Dragasakis: ‘We need a government with wide, strong, compact majority’
Greece needs a government that will secure a wide, strong and compact majority to implement correctly the country's bailout agreement, SYRIZA MP and former government vice-president Yannis Dragasakis told private radio station Vima FM on Tuesday.
“We have to see what’s in the country’s best interest in the specific circumstances. What kind of government we need, what kind of majority we need with what is available for us at this moment. And my answer is that we need a government with wide, strong and compact majority, because we have to implement a deal which, the way it will be implemented will be very important,” he was quoted as saying.
He added that the new government should prepare the ground for coalition governments based on specific programs.
