There is no room for protest in the elections, ND leader Meimarakis says
In an interview with Mega TV, he called on Greeks to get informed and vote in the elections so that the country exits the crisis.
Meimarakis accused Alexis Tsipras of lying and fleeing before imposing 90 billion euro measures.
"Tsipras' closed the parliament and goes to elections before the Greeks learn about the measures," he stressed. "We have had elections six times in a year. This causes instability and drives investments away. Citizens are giving us a mandate to solve the problem," he added.
He also noted that the time of one-party governments has gone by. "It is the era of consensus and discussions. An institutional discussion with local officials is needed; all major issues require consensus and conversation," he said.
Meimarakis will speak at the party's old offices, 18 Rigillis, Athens, at 19:30.
