Greek stocks rise in thin trade on Friday
The composite index of the market ended 1.08 pct up at 633.81 points, posting net losses of 0.24 pct on a weekly basis and 23.28 pct since the start of the year. Turnover remained very low at 26.36 million euros.
The Large Cap index rose 1.17 pct and the Mid Cap index surged 2.44 pct up.
The highest gains among blue chip stocks were for National Bank of Greece (16.26 pct), Motor Oil (4.27 pct), Hellenic Petroleum (3.12 pct) and Hellenic Exchanges (3.06 pct). The biggest losses were registered by Grivalia Properties (2.38 pct), Jumbo (2.27 pct), Mytilineos (2.06 pct) and Titan (1.74 pct).
The market sectors that made the biggest gains in the session were Chemicals (8.88 pct), Banks (8.08 pct) and Health (4.39 pct), while the greatest losses were in Personal and Household (1.88 pct), Raw Materials (1.87 pct) and Travel and Leisure (1.29 pct).
Broadly, advancers led decliners by 63 to 24 with another 20 issues unchanged. AEGEK (20.00 pct), Forthnet (20.00 pct) and NBG (16.26 pct) were top gainers, while Yalco (19.57 pct), Vioter (19.32 pct), and Hellenic Sugar Industry (18.67) were top losers.
