Marginal rise as Greek bourse sheds early gains on Thursday
The composite index of the market ended 0.69 pct up at 627.02 points, off the days highs of 2.02 pct. Turnover was slightly higher than on Wednesday at 27.5 million euros.
The Large Cap index rose 0.97 pct and the Mid Cap index ended 1.43 pct lower.
The highest gains among blue chip stocks were for Folli Follie (5.26 pct), Jumbo (5.06 pct), Grivalia Properties (4.58 pct) and OTE (4.55 pct). The biggest losses were registered by Eurobank (7.14 pct), Piraeus Bank (4.35 pct), Terna Energiaki (4.00 pct) and PPC (2.86 pct).
The market sectors that made the biggest gains in the session were Commerce (5.22 pct), Telecoms (4.55 pct) and Personal Products (4.18 pct), while the greatest losses were in Chemicals (3.13 pct), Banks (2.74 pct) and Public Utilities (1.46 pct).
Broadly, advancers led decliners by 57 to 37 with another 17 issues unchanged. Sfakianakis (20.00 pct), Forthnet (20.00 pct) and ANEK (14.57 pct) were top gainers, while AEGEK (16.67 pct), Mermeren (10.25 pct), and Andromeda (9.13) were top losers.
