Former Interior Min Voutsis: Prime Minister had to call for early elections
Former Interior Minister Nikos Voutsis on Monday said that the prime minister had to call for elections.
He underlined that "we had said that if we do not have the positive vote of 120 SYRIZA MPs in August 13 voting in parliament, we will call for elections. We have warned for this and Mr. Tsipras has said 'we will proceed together or we will not proceed at all'".
He also clarified that "if we do not succeed in having the people's approval, it is not necessary to participate in the implementation of the programme we voted but we can support or vote some of the measures for which we are engaged" he said speaking to private TV SKAI.
