Debts towards power utility PPC top 2 billion euros at end of July
Debts towards the Public Power Corporation (PPC) exceeded 2 billion euros in the seventh months ending in July, the president of the company’s workers’ union GENOP told ANA-MPA on Monday.
Giorgos Adamidis said the distribution of debt is as follows:
- High voltage customers owe 280 million euros, of which 250 million are owed by high energy-consuming industries
- Another 220 million euros are debts of the state, out of which about 110 million are arrears accumulated by local government
- Medium- and low-voltage consumers have unpaid bills totaling 1.5 billion euros
