Main opposition ND MPs call for 'political and judicial inquiry' into Varoufakis' drachma plan
In a question tabled for Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday, 24 main opposition New Democracy MPs asked whether he had approved or been aware of a plan drawn up by former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis for a possible transition to a national currency and the creation of parallel banking system, "including the hijacking of public equipment and hacking of personal data".
The ND MPs noted that Varoufakis' actions, as revealed in an article by the newspaper "Kathimerini", were a "deviation that carries not only political but possibly criminal responsibilities" and called for both a political and judicial investigation into the case.
