The relations with the institutions should not be presented so dramatically, said Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias adding that "on Monday we will be 'married' and we will live happily ever after and we will hold talks," he said at a press conference after his meeting with his Belgian counterpart and vice president of the Belgian government Didier Reynders.

"There will not be an earthquake but a democratic referendum, something that is normal in EU based also in the EU Treaties", he stated adding that we must guarantee the democratic continuity and the democratic dialogue in the deliberations with our partners".

Kotzias clarified that "Greece will face difficulties both with the 'No' vote and with the 'Yes' vote in the referendum because we have been living a drama for the five past years" and expressed the view that "what should not win is the fear...we need sobriety and calmness to think cool headed if we want the slow death to continue".

Kotzias also noted "Our country may be at a difficult situation but has not lost a single inch of its rights".
