PM Tsipras stresses importance of Greek-Turkish cooperation on refugees issue
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stressed the importance of cooperation between Greece and Turkey on the handling of migration and refugee flows in statements to reporters before his meeting in Brussels with the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

"I saw yesterday the progress in the construction of hotspots and I am currently in Brussels for a difficult meeting, but this is an important opportunity to meet and to exchange views. As you are aware we have a full agenda with Greek-Turkish contacts over the next three months," he said and added: "Firstly, regarding our cooperation in order to reduce refugee flows and particularly migration flows. This question is of vital importance for our region, for Europe and for the Euro-Turkish relations. At the same time, we have a full agenda with respect to our bilateral relations, our broader dialogue on the basis of international law. An agenda that is even more important as the instability is increasing in our region. Therefore, I consider it very important that we have another opportunity to exchange views."
