Four persons arrested for smuggling large quantities of oil from Rhodes hospital
Three men had set a ring that stole huge quantities of oil from the tanks of the General hospital of Rhodes.
The Police arrested three Albanian nationals aged 41,22 and 20 as well as a 40-year-old Greek against whom was formed a case file for felony on the crimes of setting and operating a criminal organisation, oil smuggling and grand theft.
The investigation revealed that the three Albanians in the last two years stole on a weekly basis huge quantities of heating oil from the hospital's central tanks which they sold. The ring operated during the night and had set a system of pipelines and used a specially modified vehicle to tranport the oil.
The confiscated quantity of oil was returned to Rhodes hospital.
