It would be an honour for the city the first civil partnership of people of same sex to be held in Athens City Hall, says mayor Kaminis
Athens mayor Giorgos Kaminis asked the first civil partnership contract between persons of the same sex to be signed at the Athens City Hall.
"It would be a great honour and joy for Athens," he stated in an interview with private SKAI TV on Friday on the occasion of the debate on the issue in Parliament.
Called to comment the reactions of the Church, Kaminis underlined that "a part of the Church with enlighted people preaches love and another part that preaches hate that has nothing to do with the teaching of Christianity."
