Greece and Egypt hold joint military exercise in sea region of Crete
The joint Greek-Egyptian military aeronautical exercise "Medusa 2015" is currently underway at the sea region of Crete. The exercise is held in the framework of the cooperation between the two countries.

The exercise is in progress at the sea region of the southern Aegean, the Cretan Sea and the Libyan Sea.
Medusa 2015 includes search and rescue exercise with the participation of warships and Super Puma helicopters, air-defence and electronic war exercise, fire exercise, technical and interception exercises.
On Egypt's side participate the frigate Alexandria, the rocket ships ENS M.FAHMY and ENS A.GAD, four aircrafts F-16 stationed at Souda base as well as six F-16 that will operate from airbases in Egypt.
The chiefs of the Egyptian and the Greek Staff Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy and Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis are observing the exercise initially from frigate Psara and afterwards from frigate Alexandria
Greece participates with frigates Psara and Nikiforos Fokas, the rocket ship Daniolos, 10 F-16.
The exercise will end on December 11.
