Potami accuses Tsipras, ANEL of 'old political mentalities' after MP's offshore revelations
Potami party accused SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras and its former coalition partner the Independent Greeks (ANEL) of continuing the same politics of the old parties, following the admittance of ANEL MP and former minister Pavlos Haikalis on Thursday of owning an offshore company in Cyprus.
"The old political mentality is behind the revelations in the case of Mr. Haikalis’ offshore,” the party said in a statement. “It’s a new ethos with a ministerial offshore which is exactly what happened in the past.”
It also noted that all this shows that “under the surface of what Alexis Tsipras is trying to present as new, hides something very old”.
